About the Event
In this seminar, Dr. Law Wing Sang will be exploring the topic of decolonization in Hong Kong through the political thinking of Ng Chun-Yin. Ng was a writer and contributed substantially to the development of radicalism during the late 1960s and late 1970s.

Dr. Law Wing Sang
is an independent scholar of cultural studies retired from Lingnan University, Hong Kong. His research interests include colonial history and cultural formation of Hong Kong. He is the author of the book Collaborative Colonial Power: the Making of the Hong Kong Chinese, HKUP and other articles published in Cultural Studies, Inter-Asia Cultural Studies, Positions: East Asia Culture Critique, Router: A Journal of Cultural Studies, Taiwan: A Radical Journal of Social Studies, Reflexion, Renjian Thought Review, etc. He is also the author of a number of Chinese publications including 思想香港，逆權論我城，殖民家國外，殖民無間道，在運動與革命之間讀書，etc.
Yuen Chan
is a senior lecturer in the Department of Journalism at City, University of London. As a print and broadcast journalist in Hong Kong, Yuen covered news in the territory in the years leading up to and after the handover of sovereignty from Britain to China. She has also been a correspondent stationed in Shanghai and Beijing. Yuen was previously senior lecturer at the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
